Enroll in an Online Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program

Alabama Nurse, Dec 2004-Feb 2005

The University of Alabama School of Nursing announces the conversion of the existing and successful Neonatal Nurse Practioner (NNP) program to an online format that allows students to remain in their home towns for their clinical experiences and take courses online at times that are most convenient. Completion of the MSN program prepares graduates to take the national NNP certification exam. The purpose of the online program is to prepare NNPs who are culturally competent and prepared to provide care for high risk infants and families through the first two years of the infant's life.

Students will complete all didactic coursework online with the exception of an onsite experience at the beginning of the program. Clinical practica and residency hours may be arranged with preceptors in their home communities.
