Joseph F. Decker, II
Executive Director
Mr. Decker assumed the Executive Director's position of ASNA effective 1 October 2004. Joe is from Safford, Alabama and currently resides in Montgomery. He is married to the former Betty Reese of Demopolis, Alabama; they have three children: Julie (27), Emily (25) and John (22).

Mr. Decker is a graduate of Emory University with a BA in Biology and has an MA in Management from Webster University. He entered the US Air Force following his graduation from Emory in 1969 and completed Air Force pilot training at Webb AFB,TX in 1970. He was stationed at Altus AFB, OK from 1970-1976 while flying the KC-135 A tanker aircraft. During that time he was involved in numerous deployments to Southeast Asia and Europe, and was an Aircraft Commander and Instructor Pilot. In 1976 he transitioned to the FB-111A at Pittsburgh AFB, NY and upgraded to Instructor Pilot in that aircraft. Following promotion to Major, he attended Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB, AL from 1980-1981. He then served 4 years as a staff officer at Headquarters, US Air Force, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. and was promoted to Lt. Colonel. He returned to flying the FB-111 at Plattsburgh in 1985 and served as a squadron Operations Officer and Squadron Commander. He attended the National War College at National Defense University, Ft. McNair, Washington, D.C. from 1988 - 1989. Following graduation he was assigned for 3 years as a NATO staff officer at Headquarters, Allied Forces Northern Europe in Oslo, Norway and was promoted to the rank of Colonel. He was the Commander of the 60th Support Group, 60th Airlift Wing, Travis AFB, CA from 1992-1994. In that position he was responsible for all support activities at the largest Air Mobility Command base in the U.S. with over 2,000 people assigned to the 4 squadrons under his command. Their missions included police protection, fire department, civil engineering, personnel; welfare and recreation. Mr. Decker transferred to Maxwell AFB, AL in 1994 as the Director of Curriculum at Squadron Officers School, Air University. In 1995 he was named Commander of the College of Enlisted Professional Military Education, Gunter Annex/Maxwell AFB, AL. He retired in 1997 at the rank of Colonel after serving over 27 years on active duty.
Following retirement from the US Air Force, Mr. Decker was the Executive Director of the Rebuilding Together affiliate (formerly Christmas in April) in Montgomery, AL. Rebuilding Together is a national non-profit organization dedicated to repairing homes for low income, elderly and disabled homeowners. He served in that capacity for over 5 1/2 years, stepping down in June 2004.
Janet Donoghue, RN, BS, SANE-A
Attended Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing. Saginaw Michigan and graduated 1957, then attended University affiliated with Nursing School, Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan graduated in 1961. In the mid 1980's I started work on a Masters in Critical Care at UAH, changed life focus, so, started at Athens State College working on undergraduate degree in philosophy.
In Career path I have participated in many roles in nursing from supervisory, nurse manager, charge nurse, clinical instructor and staff nurse. I have worked in medical critical care about 23 years. In 1996 I became a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. The International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) in 2002 began a National certification for Adult Sexual Assault Examiners. In 2003 I took the IAFN certification examination and became a SANE-A.
Professional Associations involvements are American Association Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) assisted in development of Chapter in North Alabama and was president for 6 years of the Tennessee Valley Chapter of AACN, national AACN volunteer as a Chapter Consultant of Alabama and Georgia, Public Policy Work Tank and a VIP Participatory reviewer; International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) member SANE Council, Chaired the first two biennial, Region 7 (AL., TN., AR., MO., KY., MS., and LA.) Forensic Nursing Conference. 2003, as a consultant developed a Mississippi/Alabama Chapter of IAFN; Alabama State Nurses Association president District 10, Educational coordinator District 10, and Multiple ASNA Committees.
Married in 1961 to Glen Donoghue and became parents of four children. The next twenty years traveled all over the world, moving 14 times. Alabama became our home state in 1980. Community involvement: Girl Scout leader and instructor, 1973-80, now assistant leader in granddaughter's Junior troop. Twickenham Republican Women treasurer, 1991-92, secretary 2000-01, and president 2002-03. Huntsville/Madison County Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
Crowell Anthony (Tony) Lisenby, MSN, RN, CRNP

I am a Board Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, and Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (Alabama) with a BS in nursing from Auburn University at Montgomery, an MS in Adult Health and Nursing Education from Troy State University in Montgomery and a Post Graduate Degree as a Community Mental Health and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (University of South Alabama at Mobile). I am currently enrolled in a Doctor of Religious Studies program at Trinity Bible and Theological Seminary in order to fully round out my educational experience.
