RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES

Whereas, The United States Armed Forces, comprised of Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve Personnel are undertaking courageous and determined operations sanctioned by the United States Congress to protect our National Security and promote democracy in the Middle East; and

Whereas, The men and women of United States Armed Forces and allied forces are performing their missions with great courage, distinction, excellence, patriotism and bravery under Hadean conditions; and

Whereas, There may be disagreements as to the purpose and ultimate outcome of Operation Iraqi Freedom but there is only solidarity when it comes to supporting the men and women of the United States Armed Services; therefore be it

Resolved, That ASNA members show their gratitude, unequivocal support, and appreciation for the men and women of United States Armed Forces serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom by giving them a standing ovation; and; be it further

Resolved, That ASNA express support and offer our prayers to the families of those men and women currently engaged in military operations with the United States Armed Forces; and be it further

Resolved, That ASNA express publicly our condolences, appreciation, respect; and pray for the families of those men and women who have paid the ultimate price for protecting our freedom.
