Journal of Essential Oil Research: JEOR,  Jan/Feb 2005

In Brophy et al.'s "Composition of the Leaf oils of the Australian Species of Euodia and Melicope (Rutaceae)" [J. Essent. oil Res., 16(4), 286-293 (2004)], the names of two of the compounds were inadvertently misspelled. The correct names for the compounds are as follows: evidone is the correct spelling for evodione (5,7,8-trirnethoxy-6-acetyl-2,2-dimethylchromene), and allo-evidone is the correct spelling for allo-evodione (5,6,7-trimethoxy-8-acetyl-2,2-dimethylchromene).

Evidone and allo-evidone should also appear in place of evodionol and allo-evodionol, respectively, in the Key Word Index.
