Montessorian Honored as Ed Tech Leader
Montessori Life, Winter 2004
Denver Montessori School's Elizabeth Ross Hubbell, teacher and director of Elementary Education, was chosen by Technology & Learning Magazine as one of four finalists in its "Ed Tech Leader of 2003" awards. Hubbell has made technology an integral clement in her classroom and supported her colleagues in using technology to assess student skills, support service learning projects, and enrich the overall classroom experience.
When applied properly, she believes, technology is a development consistent with the practices Maria Montessori initiated. "If we can create a curriculum that embraces these practices and brings in new ideas and modern interpretations of Montessori's writings," she suggests, "I think we will be onto something incredible."
