South Carolina Nurse, The, Apr-Jun 2003
Dear SCNA:
I would like to thank you on the behalf of American Red Cross, Doug Skroback, Field Service Director for SC and Administrative Assistant, Dan Gafford and myself for the work that was done in printing the article about Red Cross Nurses in the Jan. issue.
We are very pleased with this. Also we will send a copy to nursing department at headquarters in Falls Church, VA (in care of Laurie Wilshire RN).
There has been some response to the article. I hope that more nurses read it and get in touch with us. Those who are willing to volunteer with our group.

After watching the tragic news today and the event of 9-11 and participating on the steering committee for the Metro Medical Response Systems, makes me so aware that the health needs of our country are larger than ever in event of major disasters, above the normal health care issues.
We are also looking forward to working with the different branches of nursing in order to get a State Nurse Alert System in place.
Again many thanks!
Sincerely,
Frances Carolyn James. RN, SNL
