Notre Dame Grad Injured In Iraq

Former Notre Dame standout Danielle Green, now a military police officer stationed in Iraq, was injured recently in what was believed to be a grenade attack on the roof of a Baghdad police station. Green lost her left hand, sustained significant damage to her left leg, a dislocated left shoulder and shrapnel wounds down the left side of her body.

Green, a Chicago, Ill. native, scored 1,106 points in her career at Notre Dame. Green's story was featured recently on Fox Sports Net's "Fox Sports Net Across America" show.
