Yo Wants to Know

Click, Feb 2005 by Daniel, Lea, Daniel, Alan

"I like the way this book ends," says the librarian. "Now Megan Mouse and Ethan Elephant are best friends and they always go swimming together."

"I don't think real elephants can swim," says Yo, ''because they are heavy as rocks."

"Let's find out," says the librarian. "We have some excellent books about elephants."

"Here's one," says Yo.

"That's another storybook," says the librarian. "The computer will tell us where to find books about real elephants."

''Here you go," says the librarian, "from here to the end of this shelf."

''Look at this!" exclaims Yo. ''I guess elephants really can swim."

"This book says they're good swimmers," says the librarian. "Good divers, too."

"Time to go home for lunch, Yo," says Grandpa. "Did you bring your library card?"

"Yes," says Yo. "Hey, Grandpa, after lunch can we go swimming, like the elephants?"
