Elvish on the Web
Muse, Nov/Dec 2003
When Salo was young, learning Elvish was a solitary pursuit. But these days you can share your obsession with like-minded fanatics at a variety of Web sites. Salo's favorite sites are followed by an asterisk.
Ardalambion*
Translation: "Of the Tongues of Arda." (Arda is the Elven name for Middle-earth.) The site includes histories, grammars, word lists, and links for Quenya and Sindarin, as well as 14 other languages from Tolkien's world.
Tyalie Tyelellieva
Roughly translated: "The Games of the Elves Who Have Come to Perfect Their Music and Poetry." The site hosts an Elvish-language poetry contest that Salo won in 1997.

Elfling Mailing List*

Constructed Languages Site*
A really scary site for people who become language-mad and want to branch out from Elvish to Klingon, Pikachu, and Spokaans.
