Tek-Tools Releases Profiler Rx 3.5

Enterprise Networks & Servers, Apr 2004

Tek-Tools has announced version 3.5 of its Profiler Rx solution suite (formerly Storage Profiler). In launching its new product, the company noted that it has changed the name of its software offerings to Profiler Rx to better reflect the full capabilities of its product line, storage being just one.

Tek-Tools Profiler Rx suite is a modular, Web-based, real-time and historical resource reporting application. Profiler Rx 3.5 offers new modules that support Microsoft Exchange Server, EMC Celerra, XIOtech Magnitude 3D, HP Tru64 Unix and StorageTek Automated Cartridge Library System (ACLS).

Profiler Rx offers a consolidated view of DAS, NAS, SAN, backup and server environments, identifying and helping to correct inefficiencies in the management and allocation of capacity.

"We continually work with our customer base to identify and develop the most needed solution modules to address their pain points, and the new capabilities available in Profiler 3.5 help users to make the most of their existing investments as well as evaluate where future acquisitions may be justified," said Ken Barth, president and CEO of Tek-Tools. "With our modular approach, we enable administrators within departments as well as enterprise-wide managers to select as much or as little pain relief as needed, instead of presenting a single, over-featured, end-to-end solution at a much higher cost and complexity."

Profiler Rx offers asset management, alerting and notification, performance management, capacity planning, forecasting and trending for heterogeneous networks. It installs with only one download and integrates with existing storage systems and applications.
