Singapore's Changi Airport 'Checks In'

Enterprise Networks & Servers, Aug 2004

Singapore's Changi International Airport Services (CIAS) has implemented a new Unisys Check-In Assistant solution at Singapore's Changi International Airport. Unisys Check-In Assistant can reduce training and overall costs and allow ClAS to more efficiently deploy check-in staff. The airline Departure Control Systems (DCS) that are currently deployed with the CheckIn Assistant solution include KLM, Garuda, China Airlines, Finnair, Alitalia, and Emirates Airlines. ;

Unisys Check-In Assistant is a software tool that provides a Common Language Facility that is integrated into airlines' DCS host systems served by CIAS. Check-In Assistant allows various airline DCS host systems to be accessed via the Common Language Graphic User Interface, therefore complementing CIAS' current open technology environment at Changi International Airport. With the Check-In Assistant technology, CIAS will now also be able to better meet the needs of new airlines who must quickly connect their systems in order to begin operations.
