Enterprise Networks & Servers, Aug 2004
SANBlaze Technology has introduced the VirtuaLUN, a Fibre Channel Target Emulation System. The SANBlaze VirtuaLUN system emulates Fibre Channel disk drives for read/write performance testing environments, with no initiator side software changes required. The VirtuaLUN system reduces the need to deploy large farms of physical "scratch" disks.
The VirtuaLUN is available with two, four or six Fibre Channel Ports running at 1 or 2 Gbps. Each port can be configured to present up to 480 virtual "disks" or LUNs to devices under test. A fully configured VirtuaLUN can emulate in excess of 2800 LUNs.
