Ecora Launches Interactive Blogs

Enterprise Networks & Servers, Oct 2004

Ecora Software has launched a series of product-specific weblogs - or "blogs" - to give IT professionals throughout the Internet access to communities and information-exchanges tailored to their individual interests.

Because a weblog is a dedicated site through which an enterprise shares its views with all who have interest in a particular topic, a virtual network and community evolves as experts post their ideas and others append comments, replies and cross-links.

For example, at http://ecora.blogs.com/ patch/ surfers will find a range of comments regarding the best practices and optimal technologies appropriate to patch management. Some comments contain tips on how to combat a particular worm, such as a Sasser variant. Other exchanges delve into the intricacies of establishing an enterprise-wide patch policy.

Similarly, IT professionals who need to know their networks, detail-by-detail, will find suggestions, insights, and support at http://ecora.blogs.com/configuration_report ing/. Here, general categories cover timely issues such as network security, IT compliance with regulated mandates, change management, and documentation for disaster recovery and business continuity preparedness.
