Netcordia Expands Product Line

Enterprise Networks & Servers, Oct 2004

Netcordia has released Enterprise 1000, a new model from the NetMRI product line that supports a network of up to 1,000 routers and switches or as many as 30,000 total interfaces.

The proactive analysis, correlation, troubleshooting and reporting that NetMRI provides is significant for larger network clients, because a network becomes more complex with size. The new model offers the same interface, reports, root cause analysis, and functional support of VoIP, Wireless, VLANs and IP as the other models.

"Until now, the larger the network, the more complicated the analysis tool, and commensurate cost of operating and training on it," said Terry Slattery, CEO of Netcordia. "But with the Enterprise 1000, Netcordia makes it possible to easily manage larger networks, all analyzed through a single appliance."

Key features of NetMRI, include its "network expert in a box" correlation engine, its Network Scorecard that provides easily understandable reports for both executives and network engineers, and its ease of installation and use. Once configured, there is no ongoing maintenance or management of the system. NetMRl's proactive and intuitive systems-level approach provides control and savings in troubleshooting time and expense across an enterprise's network infrastructure.

The NetMRl line has two other models that have been shipping since 2003: the Campus which supports up to 200 routers and switches or up to 5,000 interfaces and the Enterprise that supports up to 500 routers and switches or up to 15,000 interfaces.

The models all provide the same automated collection, analysis and reporting capabilities; they differ only in the size of the network supported.
