Alchemy Eye Sees All

Enterprise Networks & Servers, Jan 2005

Alchemy Lab updated Alchemy Eye v6.5, its network monitoring tool for server support and rescue.

Alchemy Eye is the 24/7 network monitoring solution that provides a stealthy and versatile tool to keep network servers running so smoothly the company begins to think the IT department is where the magicians hang out. As Alchemy Eye constantly monitors server accessibility and status, its multiple messaging capabilities stand ready to alert managers the moment a problem arises, before small issues cascade into server failure.

Alchemy Eye's functions boil down into three key elements: monitoring, messaging, and reporting. Since networks are in service without a break but their administrators can't be, Alchemy Eye's multiple monitoring protocols, which include ICMP (ping), NT Service State and Event Log, HTTP(S)/FTP URL Internet, and NetBIOS LAN and SMTP/POP3 mail server monitoring, to name a few, provide continuous protection against unforeseen disaster. When a problem is detected, the messaging features immediately alert network personnel via e-mail, cellular phone, pager, ICQ number or Windows.
