Enterprise Networks & Servers, Sep 2005

Unisys Report

Atos Origin, a worldwide IT services provider, has signed a contract with Unisys Corp. to provide mainframe technology and services that will give Atos Origin greater flexibility to deliver outsourced services.

The contract, signed in the second quarter, includes the purchase of Unisys Dorado 140 mainframes, disaster recovery hardware and software, as well as technology consulting services for its clients in Asia Pacific.

The agreement with Atos Origin continues a push by Unisys to deliver technologies and services to help its clients build more flexible technology platforms that have the responsiveness to adapt to changing business demands efficiently and cost-effectively.

The Dorado series of servers is part of a growing portfolio of solutions at the heart of the company's 3D Visible Enterprise strategy, which is designed to give clients greater visibility into the cause-and-effect relationships between strategy, process, applications and infrastructure.
