Unisys supports Payroll computing for Navy command

Enterprise Networks & Servers, Oct 2005

The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command (MSC) Atlantic Area of Responsibility, known as Sealift Logistics Command, Atlantic (SEALOGLANT), N6, has awarded Unisys Corp. (Unisys.com) a contract to provide maintenance and enhancements of the MSC's applications used to support daily operations of the command. The contract was awarded in June; work began in August.

Unisys will maintain archive data for the primary application, UCPS, in an accessible format, allowing for impromptu reporting and retroactive pay changes for the MSC civilian mariners. The time-and-materials contract is for one base year plus three one-year options, exercisable at the government's discretion. The estimated value of the base year is $1,297,000.
