Connecticut: COCAINE BILL ADVANCES

The legislature's Judiciary Committee approved a bill, HB 6635, that would create equal treatment for the possession of crack and powdered cocaine.

Supporters of the bill said current law now discriminates against urban minorities by setting stiffer penalties for possession of crack.
