Crime Control Digest, May 26, 2006

The Senate ailed to act on a bill, SB 24, to allow motorists to cany concealed weapons.

The Utah Chiefs of Police Association opposed the bill that Sen. Mark Madsen said he sponsored to align Utah with 24 other states.

Madsen said the bill would prevent motorists from inadvertently breaking the law as they drive through Utah with concealed weapons.
