Basketball phenom LeBron James signed a $5 million, four-year deal to be the pitchman for Bubblicious Gum from Parsippany's Cadbury Adams USA. James, a rookie for the Cleveland Cavaliers, will appear in TV and print ads for the chewy confection. The deal marks the first time a pro athlete has endorsed the product.

Cadbury is also considering special packaging featuring James and possibly a flavor inspired by the basketball star. This is the latest deal for James, bringing his take from endorsements to nearly $135 million. Cadbury Adams USA is the domestic arm of London's Cadbury Schweppes.
