Angela Vega has been appointed a senior account executive at the Turchette Advertising Agency in Fairfield. Her background includes marketing and brand-management positions in a variety of industries. She's worked for CBS Broadcasting, Walt Disney Internet Group, Pfizer and Schering-Plough. She holds an M.B A in international brand management from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Villanova University

Jenna Desfosse has been named executive assistant at Lanmark Group in Eatontown. She will be responsible for assisting and supporting the company's top executives, handling a variety of tasks, including coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements and managing schedules. Desfosse received her bachelor's degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey.

Communications

Damien Woods has been named director of public relations at CramerSweeney in Mount Laurel. Woods, who has nearly lOyears of industry experience, joins the agency from The Star Group, where he served as account supervisor. His past client experiences include work with DuPont, Oki Data, SunGard Availability Services and the Delaware State Lottery. He earned his bachelor's degree in mass communication from Towson University in Towson, Md.

Engineering

Pietro A. Catizone has joined Clough Harbour & Associates LLP (CHA) in Parsippany as senior project manager. In his new position, he will provide leadership on land developmentprojects, including local planning and developmentprojects. He will also be responsible for developing new client relationships. Before joining CHA, he was a project manager with TRC Engineers Inc. Catizone, who has more than 14 years of experience in civil/site engineering, is a graduate of the civil engineering program at City College of New York.

Richard Jeffery Scott has been elected president of The Medical Society of New Jersey (MSNJ). In this position, he will be an advocate for New Jersey patients' and physicians' rights. Scott is currently vice president of clinical effectiveness and medical affairs at Riverview Medical Center. He eamedhis bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He remained at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for both his general surgical internship and orthopedic training.

L. Patricia Sampoli of Youngblood, Corcoran, Lafferty & Hyberg (YCL&H) has been inducted for a one-year term as president of the Atlantic County Bar Association. Sampoli, who has been an active member of the association since 1988, has served as part of its board since 1996, in the roles of trustee, treasurer and secretary. She joined YCL&H in 1995 and became a shareholder in 2000. She specializes in the defense of personal injury cases, representing clients at the request of their insurance carriers, self-insured clients, public entities and privately owned utilities. Sampoliis a barrister in the Vincent S. Haneman Inns of Court andlectures for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education. She earned her master's degree in educational media from Drexel University and attended Rutgers University School of Law in Camden.

Crystal DeCotiis has joined R&J Public Relations LLC in Bridgewater as an account coordinator. She will be responsible for assisting with a variety of the agency's clients, including Samsung and Good Samaritan Hospital. DeCotiis began her career with R&J as an intern in September. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies and English from Rutgers University. She will return to Rutgers in the fall to begin work on her master's degree in communication and information studies.

Technology

Kevin Comerford has joined Access Systems Integration LLC in Hazlet as a senior account executive in the firm's sales and marketing group. He is responsible for new business development and strategic market planning. Comerfordhas more than 15 years experience managing Corporate 500 accounts, specializing in fully integrated security solutions to the life sciences, communications, financial andproperty management markets.

Transportation

Susan L. Hayes has been appointed to the NJTransit board of directors by Gov. Jon Corzine. Hayes is president and CEO of Cauldwell Wingate Company LLC in New York. She began her career in the construction industry in the early 1980s as a controller for a demolition subcontractor. She has an extensive background in both the public and private sectors and is an advocate for the recruitment and advancement of women in the construction industry. Hayes, who resides in Bergen County, holds a bachelor's degree in correctional administration from John Jay College, City University of New York.
