Accounting

Robert J. Blackwell has been appointed as a member of the board of directors and chairman of the Audit Committee of Intelli-Check Inc., a technology firm that focuses on the authenticity of government-issued identification. Blackwell is a member of Livingston-based Levine, Jacobs & Co. LLC, where he provides accounting, tax and consulting services. He is a licensed certified public accountant and personal financial specialist in New Jersey and New York.

Health Care

Bush A. Bell has been named corporate director of customer service for AtlantiCare. He will be responsible for coordinating customer service initiatives throughout AtlantiCare, which includes AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, AtlantiCare Health Services, AtlantiCare Health Plans and the AtlantiCare Foundation. Bell has more than 25 years of customer service experience in a variety of industries including health care, hospitality, rail transportation and construction. Before joining AtlantiCare, he served as vice president and consultant for LRA Worldwide. He holds an M.BA. from Temple University and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Jacqueline Hawkins has been appointed director of sales and marketing for the new independent senior-living community Heritage Point of Teaneck. Hawkins comes to Heritage Point from Aspen Communities in Dayton, Ohio, where she was sales and marketing director for the past three years. Earlier, she was in sales for Spring Hills Communities in Alexandria, Va. She started her career in the senior-living industry with Sunrise Senior Living in Dayton. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Michael J. Walsh has been appointed chairman of the board of trustees of AtlantiCare Health Services. He will lead AtlantiCare's outpatient care network, which reaches beyond the hospital to address health and wellness needs of the region's residents through all stages of life. Walsh, who has held various senior-level executive positions for more than 25 years, is regional vice president of development for Harrah's Atlantic City Operations. In this role, he is responsible for operations related to the strategic growth of four casino-hotels in Atlantic City that also include Caesars, Ballys and Showboat.

Jeffrey A. Warren has been named director of residence services at The Allendale Community for Mature Living in Allendale. He is responsible for overseeing all resident move-ins to the community's three senior-living levels and serving as a liaison to staff at local hospitals. Before joining The Allendale Community, Warren served as director of admissions for a Hackensack-based senior residence. Earlier, he was assistant clinical manager and charge nurse for a rehabilitation center and a nurse at Meadowlands Hospital in Secaucus.

Hospitality

Victor M. Rodriguez has been named director of rooms for The Heldrich in New Brunswick. Before joining the property, he served as director of rooms for the former North Maple Inn of Basking Ridge, which Benchmark Hospitality opened and managed for more than a decade. Earlier, he served as front desk manager for the Jumeirah Essex House in New York. Rodriguez began his hospitality career working in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility for the Parsippany Hilton hotel. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Rutgers University.

Insurance

Donna Dodd has joined Meeker Sharkey Associates in Cranford as benefits account executive. She is in charge of developing client relationships, daily client servicing, account renewal marketing and carrier relationship management. Her previous industry experience includes positions with Banc of America Corporate Insurance Agency and Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey.

Suzanne Pennell has been named vice president and client executive of group benefits at Meeker Sharkey Associates in Cranford. She is responsible for overseeing large group accounts, carrier relationship management, marketing and the training of new hires. Before joining Meeker Sharkey, Pennell served as a vice president at Frenkel Benefits LLC of New York. Earlier, she managed large accounts for Compain Anderson Azar and Home Life Insurance.

Scott Sterner has been named vice president and client executive of property casualty at Meeker Sharkey Associates in Cranford. He is responsible for managing new business development, marketing, client relationships and daily client servicing. Sterner has extensive experience in managing multimilliondollar accounts with such companies as Wells Fargo Insurance Services and Allied Corp.

Law

Jane Jhun has joined Saiber Schlesinger Satz & Goldstein LLC in Newark as an associate. Jhun, a former summer associate with the firm, clerked for the Honorable Donald S. Coburn, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, upon graduation from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark. She has also worked for the Rutgers University Constitutional Law Clinic, the school's Legal Research and Writing Department, and interned for the Honorable Joseph A. Greenaway, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Jhun earned her bachelor's degree from Columbia College, Columbia University.
