PEOPLE: promotions, appointments and hires
ASSOCIATIONS
Associated Pennsylvania Constructors named Jason W. Wagner director of policy and government relations. Previously, he was a research analyst with the Pennsylvania House transportation committee. He will advocate on behalf of members with state and federal agencies, assist in the development of industry issue policies and manage advocacy programs. He also will be managing director of the Pennsylvania Highway Information Association, which gathers and disseminates information to educate the public on the importance and value of a modern and safe highway system Brian M. Fraley was named director of marketing and communications. Previously, he was director of field services. He will manage association publication and communications programs and implement association marketing programs. He also was named editor of APC's Highway Builder magazine.
The Lancaster County Business Group on Health elected Timothy W. Stayer chairman. He is corporate safety and risk manager with Conestoga Wood Specialties Corp. in East Earl Township. Also elected were: Deborah Bledsoe, vice chairwoman, employee-benefits manager of Alcoa Mill Products; Michelle Gerlach, second vice chairwoman, human resource manager with Stauffers of Kissel Hill; E. Joy McFerren, secretary, executive vice president of human resources with Willow Valley Associates; Martin Lowther, treasurer, administrator of Lancaster NeuroScience and Spine Associates. Heidi Bianco, director of human resources with Wohlsen Construction Co.; Connie Erney, director of strategic accounts with HealthAmerica and HealthAssurance and Dr. Vincent Glielmi, vice president of medical affairs for Ephrata Community Hospital were elected to the board. Lancaster County Business Group on Health is an employer coalition that addresses the cost and quality of health care for employees in Lancaster County.
Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry elected KirkLiddell chairman. He is president and chief executive officer of Lancaster-based Irex Corp. Previously, he was vice chairman of the chamber board. Thomas Hagen, chairman of Erie-based Custom Group Industries, was elected first vice chairman and Edward Sheehan Jr., senior vice president and chief financial officer of Johnstown-based Concurrent Technologies Corp., was elected vice chairman. The following were named directors: Thomas Beeman, president and CEO of Lancaster General Hospital; Douglas Elliott, president of Pennsylvania operations with FirstEnergy Corp. in Reading; Carson Green Jr., senior vice president of government and community relations with First Commonwealth Bank in Indiana; Terry Lehman, a partner with bmc in Harrisburg; William Peterson, president of Verizon Pennsylvania in Philadelphia; Zachary Scott, vice president of the Central Pennsylvania district with UPS; David Surgala, vice president of finance and administration with Bucknell University in Lewisburg; L. Aldie Warnock, vice president of Allegheny Energy in Greensburg, Westmoreland County; and Thomas Wolf, chairman of York-based The Wolf Organization.
York County Chamber of Commerce named Daniel Lehr marketing coordinator and part-time receptionist. He will update the chamber's Web site and analyze Web trends. He also will be responsible for Operation Thank and updating member data. Previously, he was news director of WFSE, Edinboro University's radio station, and he has been employed with Lehman Volvo in York. He is a graduate of Edinboro University. Kristy Wbltman was named customer-development coordinator. She will coordinate the chamber's partnership campaign and ambassador program, as well as assist the membership department. She has more than six years of marketing and special-event planning experience, most recently as a community service coordinator for York County Juvenile Probation. She is a graduate of York College.
BANKING/FINANCE
Sovereign Bank named Eric D. Wilson a commercial financial analyst. Previously, he was a customer service representative, personal banking representative and community banking assistant manager. He has a bachelor's degree in information systems from York College. Nicole L. Kessler was named vice president. She is based in York and will manage sales and marketing activities in the Central Pennsylvania region. Previously, she was director of marketing with PeoplesBank. She has a bachelor's degree in marketing from Clarion University and a master's degree in business administration from York College.
Fulton Bank named Donna Walborn manager of its Cumberland Parkway office in Upper Alien Township.
Bank of Lancaster County named Lori Christian a senior vice president. She is responsible for the bank's real estate group and is on the operating committee of affiliate Sterling Financial Settlement Services. Previously, she was a vice president and middle-market relationship manager. She has 14 years of financial-services experience. She has a bachelor's degree from Penn State University. Thomas J. Goldbach was named vice president and middle-market relationship manager. He has 22 years of experience and will be develop business relationships throughout the Lancaster County market. Previously, he was a vice president and senior account representative in the middle-market lending group at M&T Bank. He has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Millersville University.
