Mid Penn Bank to grow

Central Penn Business Journal,  May 4, 2007  by Klinger, Jason

The parent company of Mid Penn Bank agreed to purchase the former PNC branch at 2101 Market St. in Camp Hill. Terms weren't disclosed.

Pending regulatory approvals, Mid Penn Bancorp Inc. expects to operate a Mid Penn Bank branch there in the fall.

"The Capital Region has been an excellent growth market for us," Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alan W. Dakey said in a statement. "We have had a strong response from individuals and business customers that want to deal with a local community bank."

Mid Penn Bancorp, with assets totaling $492 million, operates 14 offices in Cumberland, Dauphin, Northumberland and Schuylkill counties.
