JLG nets $78M contract

JLG Industries Inc., based in McConnellsburg, Fulton County, was given a $78 million military contract to perform repair work on JLG-made telehandlers and other access vehicles being used in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The U.S. Army contract extends to 2012. The contract is part of the RESET program, which allows the military to extend the life of vehicles serving in combat zones through maintenance and repair. Work will be done on the vehicles in Iraq and Afghanistan.

JLG, a subsidiary of Wisconsin-based Oshkosh Truck Corp., has a production facility in Southampton Township, Cumberland County.
