Bill Krause CPMR Incentive Program
Agency Sales, Mar 2007
Successfully complete the 101 course and receive a ยง500 reimbursement
MANA is committed to a policy of continuing education for its regular members and endorses the Certified Professional Manufacturers' Representative (CPMR) course, developed and taught by MRERF's Institute for Professional Advancement (IPA). The course is designed to make complete businesspersons out of owners and managers of manufacturers' representative firms.
The MANA Board of Directors has voted to show its support of the CPMR program by instituting a five-year incentive program for regular members who enroll and satisfactorily complete the first year (101 segment) of the CPMR program.
Some important elements of the program include:
* The first five members from each of MANA's 10 districts that apply for the program conducted at Arizona State University each January will be eligible for the incentive.
* Applications will not be accepted by MANA until the first day of February of each year, and the cut-off date for the MANA incentive application will be August 1 of the year prior to the member's 101 class. Members are encouraged to apply to MRERF as early as possible in order to insure a seat in the CPMR program.
* There will be a maximum of 50 incentives awarded each year, and the program will last through 2010. Applications for the 2008 class incentives will be accepted by MANA, beginning February 1, 2007.
* Before applying to MANA, members must first apply to MRERF as a MANA member, meet IPA's requirements for admission and be accepted into the program.
* Members will pay IPA the full tuition in effect at the time of admission and MANA will reimburse those who successfully complete the 101 course.
* To receive a $500 reimbursement, a MANA member must have been a member in good standing for two years and hold current membership upon application and at the time of reimbursement. There are no incentives for the 201 or 301 courses.
* Only members who apply before they take the 101 class are eligible for reimbursement.
Other regulations may apply, and full details of the policy are available from MANA headquarters. Contact Helen Degli-Angeli tollfree: (877) 626-2776, local phone: (949) 859-4040, or e-mail: helen@MANAonline.org.
The late William H. Krause, former Chairman of the Board of MANA, was a real giant in the rep profession.
Bill gave back more to our profession than he ever took from it. Generous with his time when mentoring new members, he was tireless in his support and leadership of MANA. We are pleased to name the CPMR Incentive Program after Bill in recognition of his impact on the rep profession.
