The SEC has accused Martha Stewart of insider trading, a three-year-old civil case, which Stewart plans to fight in court. If she is able to overcome the charges, Stewart could effectively restore her reputation and win back her CEO and chairwoman positions at the firm, experts note. However, if the SEC wins its case against her, Stewart's reputation-and that of her company--would once again be turned into a potentially devastating public spectacle.
