NBC UNIVERSAL'S iVillage Properties has launched a new consumer online health destination targeting women and their families.

The Web site called iVillage Total Health can be found at www.health.ivillage.com.

"We plan to work with a number of pharmaceutical companies and offer a wide range of marketing opportunities from traditional display to direct marketing to custom solutions," Jane Lehman, an iVillage spokeswoman, told MM&M.

Companies already on board include Pfizer and AstraZeneca.

The site aims to offer "'Dr. Mom' the health information and tools she needs to best manage her family's healthcare," said Deborah Fine, president of iVillage Properties, in a statement.

The site offers info on medical research and developments, personalized tools such as a "Symptom Solver" and "Healthy Living" diet program.

Lehman said that the iVillage Total Health site will continue to evolve during the coming months with new features. -SM
