The Advanced Field Examiner School will be held November 28-30 in Los Angeles. This "big-picture" program is conducted annually for field examination managers and senior examiners. Focusing on major issues and trends affecting field examination, the school assists participants in applying their extensive backgrounds to enhancing the role, perception and effectiveness of their function within lending institutions. Managing the field examination group as a value-adding unit is stressed, wim an entire section devoted to effective staff management, retention and career path options. Topics also include me latest developments in data extraction, financial statement analysis, report review, professional standards, communication wim portfolio management and many otiiers. The instructors will be Kevin P. Durkin, managing director, Durkin Group LLC, West Caldwell, NJ; Steven R. Keyser, vice president, LaSalle Business Credit LLC, Chicago; and Scott H. Mitchell, chief audit executive, Bridge Finance Group, West Hills, CA. Mr. Durkin and Mr. Mitchell are past recipients of the Harry H. Chen Instructor Award of Excellence; Mr. Keyser is the recipient for 2007.
