QUALCOMM Produces Automated Activity-Based Payroll Solution
Fleet Equipment, Jun 2004
QUALCOMM Inc., a provider of wireless data solutions for the transportation industry has announced its collaboration with Mattingly Foods Inc., to create an automated activity-based payroll solution that integrates with its FleetAdvisor fleet management system.
The automated activity-based payroll solution provides an integrated set of business rules for customer-defined operations activities and determines driver pay based on those activities. This activity-based pay system enables Mattingly Foods to pay or reward a driver based on achieving objectives related to idling, over-speeds and over-revs. By linking driver compensation to driver productivity, Mattingly Foods is able to lower fuel costs for improved company profitability. The payroll module includes automated drivers' reimbursements for approved cash-based transactions. With this new solution, Mattingly Foods will be able to reduce overpays, increase driver satisfaction by accurately calculating pay and cut the processing time of payroll.
