Premiere Vision Pluriel: September 19th to 22nd

Asian Textile Business, 2006

Premiere Vision Pluriel will be held from September 19th to 22nd at the Parc d'Expositions de ParisNord Villepinte in Paris for the fall/winter 2007-08 season. September 19th is designated as a Special Accredited Buyers' Day. The five salons that make up Premiere Vision Pluriel (Expofil, Premiere Vision, Le Cuir a Paris, Indigo and Mod'Amont) all complement each other, and form a strong and coherent ensemble.

Premiere Vision continues its dynamic policy of change. Exhibitors will number 742 including 28 that are participating for the first time. Inside the salon, the weavers' offer has been redistributed in four universes, reflections of four style universes: "Fancy Seduction" (the universe of fantasy and fluidity), "Tailored Distinction" (elegant, formal and structured universe), "Relaxed Attitude" (casual and comfortable universe), and "Active Pulsation" (sport, technical and performance universe).

Premiere Vision decided upon this complete reorganization of the salon's layout in order to meet market expectations and effectively accompany buyers as their professions evolved. The salon's goal is to incarnate the single most useful professional tool for the fabric and fashion sector, thus creating a new kind of salon, and by doing so moved unmistakably into the forefront of traditional fabric trade fairs.

The Salon's fashion information has been revised and enriched, elucidated in more readable forums to provide a clear vision of the offer, forums with more events to showcase creativity, and more surprise to stimulate inspiration. With its wide aisles and many captivating rest areas, Premiere Vision continues to emphasize the quality of its setting, so propitious to the quality of the exchanges that take place under its roof. And adding to the comfort and conviviality are new areas - "Bests Bistros" and "Meeting Points" - designed to combine information, discovery and relaxation.

In order to prolong the day's many opportunities to meet and interact, "Premiere Vision Downtown" met with such success in its first edition, and will once again welcome weavers, clients and the international press in a relaxed and festive atmosphere in the heart of Paris.

Surprise, astonishment, efficiency and creative effervescence converge at the September 2006 Salon, forming part of the ongoing evolution and innovation that make Premiere Vision the essential meeting point for all international fashion professionals.

Expofil attracts trade visitors from the whole textile industry, representatives from the knitting, weaving and furnishing sectors, freelance designers, haute couture and ready-to-wear brands, retailers, importers, etc., as well as other sectors concerned with materials and fashion. More than three quarters of the visitors to this international yarn show come from more than 100 different countries.

Long Tradition and History

Nikke (Nippon Keori Kaisha, Ltd.) has already participated in Premi_re Vision 8 times. The firm also participated in RV. New York Pre-Collection in early July. One of the firm's purposes for its participation is to make recognition of the "Nikke" brand steadily penetrate in the world.

As a high quality and high sensitivity material producer, the firm is promoting repeat customers overseas. The firm is serving Paris haute couture maisons and Milan collection brands by producing special order textiles.

Making use of Nikke's original spinning method and finishing technology, the firm will propose summit products of woolen and worsted textiles at PV. These Nikke textile brand products are "MAF (Merino Authentic Fine)", "ODIN" and others. The firm will propose textiles showing Nikke's tradition and history in its "Nikke Vintage Collection". The firm will newly propose complex products made by combining wool and other natural fibers or those made by combining wool and manmade fiber in "Natural Techno".

"Nikke Vintage Collection" appeals changing trends in fashion showing Nikke's textiles from the late Taisho age (1910 - 1925) and reproductions of early-modern European wool fabrics. The focal point this time is Jacquard fabrics from the early-modern European collection in 1884.

"Nikke MAF Collection" is a fabric using super-fine New Zealand Merino. "We want visitors see the superlightweight fabric using 15.5 micron Merino wool which only Nikke can make." (Masahiro Oono Project Design Women's Fabrics)

The fabric is made of super fine denier yarn such as 1890s, 150s, 130s two-ply yarn and all visitors can actually feel its wonderfulness in the fair site.

"Nikke Natural Techno Collection" will use polyester and triacetate as partner materials to combine with wool. At a first sight, the natural feel of wool is exhibited, but when you touch it, you will surely feel a new touch owing to manmade fiber. This is what Nikke asserts as "Techno feeling".
