Canon multimedia projector lightweight, versatile
Office Solutions, Apr 2001
Canon's new easy-to-carry LCD projector has enhanced brightness and resolution features for businesses, SOHOs, and everyday home use and weighs less than 6 pounds. The fullfeatured and durable LV-5100 plugand-play projector provides image projection capability in screen sizes up to 200 inches, and options are available for the machine to be ceiling mounted or used with a rear projection screen. Projecting at 700 ANSI lumens, the LV-5100 supports HDTV and DVD component inputs, reproduces images with minimal blurring of colors, and supports regular and wide screen aspect ratios. It supports PC, Macintosh, or video input, can output to an external speaker, and comes with wireless remote control.
Digital Keystone smoothly compensates for trapezoidal distortion to produce a square picture for images projected at an angle, and the LV-5100 has manual zoom and focus as well as operation keys that can be located in dim light. Lamp life is extended by the power management function, which reduces power consumption when the projector is not in use by turning off the lamp when the projector detects signal interruption or when a button is not pressed for more than five minutes. The new Canon LV-5100 projector is priced at $2,999. For more information about this and other Canon presentation products, go to the Website www.canonprojectors.com.
