CARIS Achieves International Organization for Standardization 9001:2000 Certification

Sea Technology, Mar 2008

CARIS (Fredericton, Canada) has announced that they recently achieved International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 certification.

A globally recognized quality management standard developed by ISO, ISO 9001:2000 applies to organizations that design, develop, manufacture, install and service products. To achieve certification, companies must have a comprehensive quality management system that addresses all areas of operation.

"Achieving ISO 9001:2000 certification is further evidence of the unwavering commitment CARIS has in providing customers with software and services that they can have complete confidence in when working with operation-critical spatial data in the fields of land management, municipal planning, seafloor and ocean mapping and chart production," said Dr. Salem Masry, president and chief executive officer of CARIS.
