Recently tested Dell 1100MP projector
NZ Business, Nov 2005 by Baker, Glenn
The first thing you notice about Deli's new 1100MP portable projector is it size and weight. It has a smaller footprint than a typical notebook computer and certainly weighs less. This means that transporting the projector home after a hard day of business presentations is an absolute breeze (it also comes with a smart carry-case).
I plugged the projector into my DVD player downstairs and was impressed with the sharpness and clarity of picture - despite the fact that I was using a white sheet as a screen. Not ideal, but it was enough to appreciate the projector's abilities.
The 1100MP is simply a matter of plug and play with its Quick Setup guides, and it comes with a range of video inputs namely Component HDTV, S-Video, and composite video, as well as audio, VGA and USB cables.
If you're looking for an entry-level projector that can be used as a training or presentation device within the business environment on weekdays, and deliver that in-home movie experience for the family at the weekends - the Dell 1100MP fits the bill. I particularly liked its user-friendly nature. RRP: $1448. For more info go to www.dell.com.au
