Panasonic Computer Solutions Co. has introduced two convertible notebook/pen tablet PC models in one system.

The CF-18 is available as a touchscreen PC notebook that converts to a tablet using standard pen extentions, and as a TabletPC notebook with magnetically digitized display that converts to a tabletPC-compliant pen tablet. It features a 10.4-inch display panel that swivels and tilts to virtually any angle and can also close over the keyboard to become a fully functional, rugged Windows 2000 Professional or XP touchscreen PC tablet. It can be carried up a ladder, hung on a wall as a tablet, or mounted in a vehicle like a standard notebook.

The unit has integrated, concurrent access to WAN, LAN and GPS systems.
