Autocar Offers Short-Term Rentals
Light & Medium Truck, Sep 2006
Autocar LLC is offering a new short-term truck-rental program, Autocar Express Rental, as part of its Autocar Solutions service and support initiative, the company said. The rental program will help ensure that Autocar's refuse industry customers have a truck when they need one, Autocar said.
The rental program also will support Autocar's sales and service programs by offering customers a truck to try out prior to purchase and by providing rental trucks to fill in for vehicles being serviced, Autocar said. In addition, Autocar Express Rental will create a supply of used refuse trucks for resale as they reach the end of their cycle within the rental fleet, the company said.
Autocar will operate Autocar Express Rental in conjunction with Tampa, Fla.-based Truck Rental Group. As part of a nationwide rollout, initial rental service locations will open in Salt Lake City, Chicago and the New York City/Long Island, N.Y., area, the company said.
