Circular 5/97 - Reporting on Entities Listed Under the Reporting By Public Entities Act thai addressed the auditing requirements for entities listed under the Reporting by Public Entities Act, 1992, has been repealed. Circular 5/97 provided guidance to members on the wording of the auditor's report for public entities, including the expression of an audit opinion on fair presentation of the entity's performance against predetermined criteria.
The audits of public entities are now regulated by The Public Audit Act, 2004, which was effective from 1 April 2004.
