Get in the loop

MOVING TO LONDON CAN BE AS DAUNTING AS IT IS EXCITING, BUT TNT MAGAZINE HAS YOU COVERED

If you want to find your feet quickly in London, or get organised before you get here, best get acquainted with these three letters: TNT.

If you've got good friends, they would have told you about it before you came over, but for those not in the know TNT Magazine will be your bible on arrival in the UK.

TNT Magazine is a free weekly publication for Australians, New Zealanders and South Africans and can be found in red bins across London every Monday.

For new arrivals, information on finding accommodation, landing a job and setting up that all-important bank account are key. Once you've got yourself sorted, there will be time to read about the best gigs in town, club nights, and bar and restaurant reviews, and to plan your travelling, with loads of features on city breaks, short trips, major festivals and events, and travel tips.

Just because you're living on the other side of the world doesn't mean you shouldn't keep up with what's going on at home. Read TNTs news and sport pages, which include weekly results on the Super 14, NRL and AFL, and the daily news updates on www.tntmagazine.com to know what's happening.

GET STARTED ONLINE

For a taste of things to come and for help planning your OE, log on to www.tntmagazine.com. The Just Arrived section (under the Essential Info menu option) has loads of practical information on setting yourself up in London, with how to organise a bank account, find accommodation and get a job, for starters.

For the latest jobs on offer in a range of sectors, select the Jobs option on the TNT website's main menu and sign up for our weekly Jobs newsletter, which carries sector-specific vacancies and news to keep you in the loop. Let TNT do some of the work for you and upload your CV for free, which will then be sent on to recruiters in your field.

Sort yourself a room in a flatshare or a pad of your own (if you can afford it!) in our Flats search option, which lists current rentals across the city.

And if, like most TNT readers, the promise of filling your passport with stamps is what has lured you abroad, the Travel section is the place to plan your next adventure. Swot up on short breaks, big trips, and travel tips from Lonely Planet guru Tom Hall, and find destination-specific information.

WHERE TO GET TNT

TNT is distributed via more than 700 sites across London every Monday. Keep an eye out for the red bins outside tube stations, as well as inside select businesses. To find your nearest site, visit www.tntmagazine.com and click on TNT Distribution Points at the bottom of the homepage.

You can also read an electronic version of the magazine at www.tntmagazine.com/emag.

If this isn't enough, check out TNT's online guides, which can be downloaded free from www.tntmagazine.com (find them under Essential Info on the menu bar). Sorted into Travel, Careers, Lifestyle and Essentials, they'll answer all your questions.
