FTC tips on protecting customer information

The Federal Trade Commission has issued "Financial Institutions and Customer Data: Complying with the Safeguards Rule," a publication to help financial institutions comply with the agency's rules on protecting customer information. "FTC emphasizes that strong security practices are not only required by law, but also make good business sense," the agency says.
