Robert F. Richards, 64, executive vice president of German American Bancorp, Jasper, died Feb. 13. He formerly served as president of Stone City Bank, Bedford. Richards began his banking career in 1970 at First National Bank of Bloomington and retired as president of Bank One Bloomington in 1997. His community activities included service as president of the Boys and Girls Club, Junior Achievement sponsor, and Bloomington and Bedford Economic Development commissions.

He and his wife also made available "The Blessing House," Bloomington, for families of cancer patients. A graduate of Indiana University, Richards was a past member of the IBA board of directors and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
