BERRY PLASTICS WILL BUILD its global headquarters in Evansville, Indiana, consolidating its operations and creating 250 new jobs at an investment of $20 million. Berry currently employs more than 1,200 workers in Evansville and 12,600 worldwide at 55 manufacturing facilities, according to company officials.

The Indiana governor's office confirms that state arid local incentives offered to the company for the project total more than $5 million. Company officials cited the areas's skilled work force as a key part of the decision to consolidate there.
