Graduate programme at Academy Internet

E.learning Age, Sep 2005

A second employee has graduated from Academy Internet's Internet Marketing Graduate Training Programme.

Jeremy Jacobs has completed the training programme within 11 months of starting with Academy Internet. Jacobs graduated in June 2004 with a degree in Multimedia Studies and during his time at Academy Internet has progressed to become an Internet Marketing Consultant. Guided and coached by senior consultants, Jacobs was given a development and training plan that complimented his skills and knowledge and gave him the experience, confidence and skills to fulfil his current role.

Jacobs said: "Academy Internet's Graduate Training Programme has given me the opportunity to further develop the skills I learned during my degree and has kick started my career in internet marketing and training. It's obviously a smart move for the company as it is developing its own home grown talent through this training programme."

Academy Internet Director Jason Woodford said: "It is unusual for an SME to invest in training let alone a graduate training programme however, Academy Internet was frustrated by the lack of suitably qualified junior consultants and decided to invest in developing and retaining its own pool of expertise. The company has two further trainees who are currently on the 2005/06 programme."
