Video Arts is promoting Samaritans' award-winning WorkLife CD-ROM as part of its range.

Samaritans' WorkLife CD-ROM aims to reduce the potential for tension and stress within the workplace by developing managers' skills and confidence to tackle problems before they escalate, thereby increasing productivity and profitability.

WorkLife: Tackling Stress in the Workplace has this year won the International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) Gold e-learning Award and the Bronze Award for External Interactive Media, demonstrating a creative use of technology for the good of society.

The partnership with Video Arts is a first for the charity. Jonathan Moran, Samaritans external training services co-ordinator, said: "We are delighted that Video Arts has decided to include our product as part of their range. It has a track record and a knowledge of the industry that is, in my opinion, unmatched and the experience it will bring to marketing the CD-ROM will help us to reach our target audience. Stress in the workplace is frequently cited as the number one issue affecting employee productivity and Samaritans is proud to be developing resources to enable organisations to tackle these difficulties."

Kim Wigfield, marketing manager for Video Arts said: "Video Arts is very excited to promote this course to our UK and worldwide clients. Its fresh and dynamic approach fits excellently into our portfolio of behavioural and soft skill programmes. And more importantly, work-life balance is a key business as well as personal issue."

Samaritans will be investing any profits it makes from the venture into its 24 hour emotional support service.

Income will be invested in the training and development of its 16,800 volunteers who provide confidential emotional support.
