Dorothy Turner Scharbauer, 73, of Midland, Texas, died Feb. 23, 2005.
She was born March 9, 1931, in Midland County and graduated from Midland High School. She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and Christian College in Columbus, Mo., before marrying Clarence Scharbauer Jr. on Aug. 27, 1949.
Dorothy was known for her philanthropy throughout West Texas. Memberships included the National Society Magna Charta Dames, Midland Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the Junior League of Midland.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Clarence Scharbauer III and Douglas Scharbauer, both of Midland, and TSCRA Director Chris Scharbauer of Amarillo; daughter, Pamela Ruth Scharbauer of Palm Springs, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
