Le Groupe Victor, chef de file reconnu dans le d�veloppement de tissus �cologiques, vient de se joindre au Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC - conseil de l'ameublement durable) en tant qu'entreprise membre exemplaire �Argent� (Silver Corporate Exemplary Member), avec en outre l'honneur d'�tre le premier fabricant de textiles � devenir membre � ce niveau.
Le Sustainable Furnishings Council est une coalition � but non lucratif regroupant de fa�on �quilibr�e des acteurs de l'industrie d�cid�s � promouvoir des pratiques �durables� chez les fabricants, les d�taillants et les consommateurs. Les membres du SFC, conscients de la formidable urgence de la situation, prennent des mesures imm�diates pour minimiser, dans toute plateforme de produits d�pendant d'eux, les �missions de gaz carbonique, les polluants des flux de d�chets, les contenus non recyclables et les mati�res premi�res provenant de sources non renouvelables. Pour devenir un membre exemplaire Argent du SFC, le Groupe Victor a d� :
* proposer des produits conformes aux normes rigoureuses du SFC1 qui imposent de prouver que les produits sont faits d'au moins 25% de mat�riaux durables;
* adopter un code d'�quit� sociale pour son personnel;
* pr�senter un bilan de CO2 ;
* d�montrer que ses am�liorations s'�tendent � sa cha�ne d'approvisionnement.

VICTOR GROUP: MEMBER OF SUSTAINABLE FURNISHINGS COUNCIL
Victor Group, a recognized leader in the development of environmentally friendly fabrics, has joined the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC) as a Silver Corporate Exemplary Member, earning the distinction of being the first textile manufacturer to join at this level.
The Sustainable Furnishings Council is a nonprofit balanced coalition of industry players aiming to promote sustainable practices among manufacturers, retailers, and consumers. SFC members acknowledge the tremendous urgency, and take immediate steps to minimize carbon emissions, waste stream pollutants, unrecyclable content, and primary materials from unsustainable sources from any product platform under their control. To become a Silver Exemplary member of the SFC, Victor Group's products had to:
* meet the stringent standards of the SFC, which include showing that a minimum of 25% of their products are made from sustainable materials
* adopt a Social Equity Code of Conduct for employees
* submit a Carbon Footprint Report
* show that their supply chain had been impacted by their improvements.
