In Memoriam
International Musician, Sep 2009
Hal Dessent passed away on August 14, at age 93. Dessent was a former president of Chicago Federation of Musicians, Local 10-208 for many years and also served on the AFM International Executive Board.
Funeral services were held in California. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that the next time you host an event needing music, consider using live instrumental music-Hal would have liked that.
