Government

Michael B. Donley (1) has been nominated to become the next U.S. Air Force secretary, while Gen. Norton A. Schwartz, USAF, has been appointed as the U.S. Air Force chief of staff.

Carol A. Haave has been appointed as assistant secretary, International Affairs, U.S. Department of Homeland security.

Lt Gen. Ronald Burgess, USA, has been nominated for appointment as director, Defense Intelligence Agency.

The U.S. General Services Administration's Federal Acquisition Service has selected Steven J. Kempf as assistant commissioner for acquisition management and Michael S. Sade as deputy assistant commissioner for integrated technology services.

John B. Johns has been appointed to serve as assistant deputy under secretary of defense (maintenance policy and programs), Office of the Under secretary of Defense (acquisition, technology and logistics), Washington, D.C.

Joseph E. Misanin has been appointed to serve as deputy director, program operations, Office of the Under secretary of Defense (acquisition, technology and logistics), Washington, D.C.

Military

Mike Krieger has been selected as the U.S. Army's deputy chief information officer/G-6.

Maj. Gen. Jack L. Rives, USAF, has been nominated for promotion to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as judge advocate general, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Maj. Gen. George J. Flynn, USMC, has been nominated for appointment as deputy commandant for combat development and integration; commanding general, Marine Corps Combat Development Command; commander, U.S. Marine Forces Strategic Command; commanding general, Marine Corps National Capital Region Command; and commander, U.S. Marine Corps Forces National Capital Region; and for appointment to the rank of lieutenant general.

Lt. Gen. William M. Fraser III, USAF, has been nominated for appointment to the rank of general with assignment as vice chief of staff, U.S. Air Force, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Maj. Gen. Larry D. James, USAF, has been selected for promotion to the rank of lieutenant general with assignment as commander, 14th Air Force (Air Forces StrategicSpace), Air Force Space Command, and commander, Joint Functional Component Command for Space, U.S. Strategic Command, Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.

Industry

American Systems, Chantilly, Virginia, has appointed Susan case as vice president of its national security strategic business area.

Credant Technologies, Dallas, has appointed Lt. CoI. Lance Paoli, USA (Ret.), to the position of director, Federal Defense and Intelligence Agencies.

Allen Boyd has joined ITT Corporation as vice president of Tactical Communications Systems at ITT Communications Systems, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Microsoft Corporation, Washington, D.C., has promoted Curt Kolcun to vice president, U.S. Public sector.

Computer Sciences Corporation, Falls Church, Virginia, has appointed Guy Nielsen as vice president and chief marketing officer and Susan Rock as vice president of business development for the North American Public sector business unit's Applied Technology Division.

Jeff Sobieski has been appointed as the chief operating officer for Telkonet Incorporated, Germantown, Maryland.

Telos Corporation, Ashburn, Virginia, has promoted Lisa Kimball to vice president, Defense Manpower Data Center Operations for Telos Identity Management Solutions, a Telos affiliate.

Alain Pecot has been named Harris Corporation's regional director of Southern Europe for Harris Broadcast Communications.

Mobile Satellite Ventures, Reston, Virginia, has appointed Susan Miller to the position of senior vice president for satellite services.

Mark D. Schultz has been named general counsel and senior vice president of corporate development, SRA International, Fairfax, Virginia. Jeff Rydant has been selected as senior vice president of marketing and sales.
