Shannon Sullivan * Lexington-Concord Chapter

Shannon Sullivan is the Army/ Air Force regional sales manager for Oracle Corporation. He previously worked for BEA Corporation as an executive after he retired from the U.S. Air Force.

An active member of the Lexington-Concord Chapter for the past decade, Sullivan is committed to promoting the chapter's focus on education. As vice president for education, he oversees the fellowship program, which helps bright young students transition into industry by offering them scholarships and employment opportunities within their local communities. Under Sullivan's leader- ship, the highly successful program has grown to include 32 students in 2008 from just five students in 2003. He has helped the chapter provide more than $150,000 in scholarships and 97 jobs to high school seniors entering technical fields.

Sullivan also has assisted the chapter in awarding ROTC scholarships and donating to the Hanscom Air Force Base enlisted fund. During the past four years, the chapter has contributed $234,500 to educational programs under Sullivan's direction.

His ability to lead and work cooperatively with other chapter members inspires others, and his outgoing personality ensures that members and guests enjoy chapter activities.

In recognition of his leadership and tireless volunteer efforts, AFCEA International proudly names Shannon Sullivan AFCEAN of the Month.
