A 100ft-high poster of David Beckham wearing only knickers has been unveiled in San Francisco, making women gawp hysterically.

What man would ever stoop so low?

Cynics have suggested that certain parts of Mr Beck's anatomy have been digitally altered, which his people have hotly denied. "There wasn't any enhancement to that region, " said his spokesperson for that region. Some rags showed a picture of Mr Beck at the seaside looking somewhat smaller and more shrivelled in the region in question. This, I would hazard, was the result of bathing in cold water. For the record, the picture you see here of me is au natural, more's the pity.
