VENTURE Production said it planned to upgrade the amount it expects to recover from its Chestnut field in the North Sea after a stronger-thanexpected start to production. Aberdeen-based Venture confirmed that since September it had produced almost 500,000 barrels - an average of 12,000 barrels a day - from the fi eld. Chestnut is one of the smallest standalone developments in the North Sea and uses Hummingbird, a cylindrical floating production, storage and offl oading vessel designed to make smaller, isolated fields viable.
